The IQOS ILUMA PRIME is our most advanced device with its sophisticated design, features and materials. For example, the IQOS ILUMA PRIME™ holder and pocket charger come in an aluminum body with a leather or fabric wrap on the pocket charger.

IQOS ILUMA devices are slightly bigger and more robust to accommodate the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ that’s inside. This innovative new technology gives you a better, cleaner tobacco experience – which we think is worth the minor increase in weight and size.

One use will last up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first.

The SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ in IQOS ILUMA and TEREA sticks completely reinvents the way tobacco is heated. This bladeless system features a metal heating element inside the stick, coated with stainless steel for the seamless heating of tobacco. The result is an easier, cleaner and better tobacco experience.

IQOS ILUMA emits 95% less harmful chemicals compared to cigarettes.* Important information: It does not necessarily equal a 95% reduction in risk. IQOS is not risk-free.

Your IQOS ILUMA works optimally between 0℃ - 40℃, and TEREA sticks taste best when stored at room temperature. Follow these tips regarding the storage:

Store your device and TEREA sticks in a clean, dry, cool place.

Keep your device away from water, direct sunlight and heat.

Don’t leave your device in a hot place (such as inside a car) because the lithium-ion battery and electric circuit board could be damaged.

Don’t expose your device or TEREA sticks to low temperatures for a long period of time. Avoid high humidity and direct sunlight.

Don’t use TEREA sticks if they have been exposed to excessive heat or moisture.

Additional information In cold outdoor conditions, the device may start if it’s kept warm (for example, in a coat pocket). However, while using your holder, cold outdoor temperatures may lead to lower performance of the aerosol and not enough energy for a full tobacco experience (up to 6 minutes or 14 puffs, whichever comes first).

IQOS ILUMA PRIME devices are available in four colours: Golden Khaki, Obsidian Black, Jade Green and Bronze Taupe.

Some features and settings can be turned on or off via the IQOS app such as Autostart, customization features, lock and unlock device. Please remember to register your device on iqos.com website.

Place your IQOS ILUMA™ holder in the pocket charger. Press the power button for 10 seconds and release. The lights will turn off and back on again to show the reset is done.

There are two ways to find out.

Check your IQOS ILUMA holder Lift up your holder or briefly press the button. The status lights will come on – two lights mean two experiences left. One light means one.

Check your pocket charger when the holder is inside Press the power button on your pocket charger and see how many status lights turn on. Two lights mean your holder has two experiences left, and one light means one.

Checking the battery level of the pocket charger is easy. Simply short press the side button on the pocket charger. The pocket charger lights will turn on to indicate the battery level:

4 white lights mean the battery is fully charged

3 white lights mean up to 75% battery life remaining

2 white lights mean up to 50% battery life remaining

1 white light means up to 25% battery life remaining

Yellow blinking lights displaying on the holder: This means the battery is depleted and the holder needs to be recharged. It’s pretty fast. IQOS ILUMA holder recharge times are:

1’ 50’’ for 0-1 Use*

3’ 25’’ for 1-2 Uses*

5’ 15’’ for 0-2 Uses*

Red blinking light on the holder: You need to put the holder in the pocket charger and reset the device.

White lights blink twice on the holder: This indicates your IQOS ILUMA is outside its operating temperature range of between 0°-40°C.

It’s quick and easy to charge your device but remember: use the IQOS AC power adaptor and cable that came with your IQOS ILUMA device. This will give the fastest, safest charge.
Charging takes around 135 minutes to fully charge the pocket charger and up to 10 minutes to fully charge the holder for the first time after unpacking. The holder recharge times are:

1’ 50” for 1 use*

3’25” for 1-2 uses*

5’ 15” 0-2 uses*

and 10’ 05” for its first charge out of the box*

Yes, as long as they belong to IQOS 3 generation devices. Older charging accessories will not be compatible with IQOS ILUMA devices.

To make your use easier, IQOS ILUMA is packed full of new advanced features.

Autostart.
Autostart Heating starts automatically when you insert a TEREA SMARTCORE STICKS™. Your IQOS ILUMA holder will vibrate and its lights will flash to show heating has started. When it’s ready to use, your device will vibrate once more.
Autostart is already set up on your IQOS ILUMA device, and you can deactivate it on the IQOS app. You can also start heating manually by pressing the button on your IQOS ILUMA holder.

Checking your holder.
Smart gestures let you check battery levels or experience progress at a touch.
To check your holder battery levels Lift up your IQOS ILUMA holder. The status lights will come on. Two lights mean two experiences left, and one light means one.

How much of your experience is left?
Double-tap your holder and the vibrations will indicate how much of your experience is left. For instance:

3 vibrations = 75-50%

2 = 50-25%

1 = <25%.

You can enable and adjust the vibration modes to suit you, using the IQOS app.

Your IQOS ILUMA should automatically start heating when you insert a TEREA sticks. If not, try the following actions.

1. Check it’s a TEREA sticks. Your IQOS ILUMA device will only work with the new TEREA sticks.

2. Check the TEREA stick is correctly inserted. It’s the right way in, and pushed up to the filter line.

3. Check the IQOS app. See if Autostart has been accidentally deactivated.

4. Reset your device. Place your IQOS ILUMA holder in the pocket charger. Press the power button for 10 seconds until the lights go out. When the lights flash twice, you’ll know the reset is done. If your IQOS ILUMA holder starts without a TEREA stick, try the following actions.

- Reset your device as above.

- Turn off Autostart on the IQOS app. Remember – you can start the heating by pressing the button on your holder for 2 seconds. If the problem persists, get in touch with our Customer Care.

The great news is that cleaning the leather wrap is easy. Just grab a damp cloth and wipe it gently.

It won’t start because the IQOS ILUMA is designed to be used only with the fully sealed TEREA tobacco sticks. Its innovative SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ heats the tobacco from within the TEREA stick, instead of burning it. And do remember that do not use IQOS ILUMA and/or TEREA with previous IQOS generations, as this may damage your device. Do not ingest or disassemble TEREA.

Used TEREA tobacco sticks have two indicators that tell you if they’ve been used. The paper around the filter is slightly creased, and there will be a slight tobacco vapor stain on the paper. We recommend you dispose of the stick immediately after use to avoid any confusion. Another way to avoid reusing a TEREA stick is by placing it back in the pack upside-down. When you select your TEREA stick check that the wavy line is visible.

IQOS ILUMA devices are available in five stylish colours: Pebble Beige, Pebble Grey, Azure Blue, Moss Green and Sunset Red.

Charge your IQOS ILUMA fully by using the AC Power Adaptor and Charging Cable that comes with it. Then, to switch your device on, press the button on the side of the Pocket Charger for 4 seconds. To check the battery status of the Pocket charger, take out the holder and press the side button of the Pocket Charger.

It’s easy to use IQOS ILUMA. Insert your TEREA stick into your IQOS ILUMA holder with the TEREA stick logo facing up. If you’ve inserted the stick correctly, the logo will remain visible when you push down gently. IQOS ILUMA devices are designed to be used with TEREA sticks only. 1. First, insert a TEREA stick into your IQOS ILUMA holder. Gently push it up to the filter line until your holder vibrates twice and its lights flash. Heating will start automatically.
2. Your IQOS ILUMA device is ready to use when your holder vibrates and both lights are solid white.
3. When there’s 30 seconds and 2 puffs left, your IQOS ILUMA holder will vibrate once and a white light will flash.
4. Remove the used TEREA stick. When it’s fully cool, dispose of it in a bin.
5. Place your IQOS ILUMA holder in the pocket charger to charge it.

Nothing – your IQOS ILUMA device won’t start. It will only work when a TEREA stick is inserted into it. IQOS ILUMA devices are designed to be used with TEREA sticks only. Don’t try. You won’t be able to use with TEREA stick, and you may damage your IQOS 3 DUO device. TEREA sticks are designed to work with the new, bladeless SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, and contain a metal heating element inside.

TEREA sticks (with IQOS ILUMA) and HEETS tobacco sticks (with earlier-generation IQOS blade devices) use heat not burn technology. This heats tobacco from the inside, without any smoke or ash, and with less smell than cigarettes. Both TEREA sticks and HEETS tobacco sticks emit on average 95% lower levels of harmful chemicals than cigarettes*.

Unlike HEETS tobacco sticks, TEREA sticks are sealed. They leave no tobacco residue, so you don’t need to clean your IQOS ILUMA device after every use.

Parts of the TEREA stick:

The heating element: a metal element coated in stainless steel and placed inside the stick for the seamless heating of tobacco.

Air-flow chamber: ensures that the aerosol passes seamlessly throughout the stick for an easy draw and it also stabilizes the tobacco stick.

Front seal: keeps your IQOS ILUMA holder clean after use with no tobacco residue left and ensures easy insertion and extraction of the tobacco stick.

Tobacco: a carefully selected, finely ground and specially prepared tobacco blend.

Protective wrap: our new protective wrap contributes to a cleaner experience after use.

Cooling plug: cools down the aerosol temperature. It is made of cellulose acetate, which delivers the best cooling efficiency yet.

Changing your IQOS ILUMA door cover to suit you is easy. You don’t need tools because the door is conveniently held in place by firm magnets. First, open the door of the pocket charger, then you can remove the door cover by pulling it from the sides. To fit a new door cover, align it with the pivoting door and the magnets will pull it into place.

Changing the ring is straightforward, but you’ll need to use the ring removal tool that came with your new ring. Simply fit the tool on the holder ring and turn it anti-clockwise to unlock it. Next, place the new ring onto the holder and use the tool to turn it clockwise to lock it into place.

You can. Open the wrap fully on your device and pull it out, from the top down. Now you can easily remove it from the pocket charger. To attach your new wrap, slide the linear magnets into the same shaped recesses on the pocket charger.

Holder charging dock: Charges IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA PRIME holders as fast as a pocket charger. Its magnetic connector makes it easy to use.

Charging dock: Lets you charge your IQOS pocket charger while you use your holder. Compatible with IQOS ILUMA, IQOS 3 DUO and IQOS 3. Not compatible with IQOS ILUMA PRIME.

Ring sets: Textured rings change the look of your device. Exclusive to IQOS ILUMA PRIME and IQOS ILUMA devices.

Coloured ring set: Three different coloured rings and a handy ring tool.

Premium ring set: Three rings with different finishes, plus a ring tool.

Door covers: A range of door covers for IQOS ILUMA in four different finishes and a choice of colours. Premium door covers are crafted from solid aluminium.

Sleeves: In a range of colours. Easy to slip on, these silicone sleeves protect your device from scratches and dents and provide a comfortable, anti-slip grip.

Sleeve Plus: Fabric sleeves in a wide range of colours. They offer all the protective benefits of a sleeve, and are easy to carry thanks to a lanyard.
