The LEVIA sticks are designed to be compatible with IQOS ILUMA™ devices, which, thanks to the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, heat the sticks without an integrated blade.

IQOS ILUMA™ is designed to be used only with SMARTCORE STICKS™. Do not use IQOS ILUMA and SMARTCORE STICKS™ with previous IQOS generations, as this may cause damage to your device. The different properties of LEVIA sticks, as opposed to TEREA tobacco sticks, enable IQOS ILUMA™ devices to recognize the inserted stick and adjust their operating processes accordingly.

However, this may require a firmware update for the device.

You can easily determine if your device needs an update.

Press the button on the holder (or the button on the device for IQOS ILUMA ONE) five times:

  • If nothing happens: firmware upgrade is needed.

  • If one of the lower lights flashes five times: firmware upgrade is needed.

  • If two LEDs on the holder (or four LEDs on the IQOS ILUMA ONE device) flash five times: your device has the latest version, and no upgrade is necessary.


    • The IQOS ILUMA™ devices work and heat the LEVIA sticks even without a firmware update. However, without it, the device may not provide optimal flavour profile.

    The LEVIA sticks are available in various flavors and contain nicotine, which is addictive.
    The sticks are protected from external moisture by special aluminium sealed packaging.
