It takes about 10-15 minutes.
How can I update the firmware?
You can easily update the device registered to your own profile via the IQOS app.
1. Sign in to your profile, then connect your device.
2. Once successfully connected, click on the "Devices" tab and select the "Device settings" option. If new firmware is available for your device, click on the "Update Firmware" button.
3. It’s important that your device is at least 25% charged and connected with a USB cable.
4. The firmware update starts. Do not disconnect, do not press any buttons, do not use the device during the update. The application will display a message when the update is complete.
It's important to know that your device flashes red during the update. This is called "SBL mode". Your device is updating, not faulty. After the update, the lights automatically turn white. If it does not, restart your device.

How many firmware does an IQOS ILUMA have? Do I need to update all of them?
The IQOS ILUMA PRIME, IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA ONE are operated by multiple firmware. Each firmware must be updated for the device to function properly. Never complete the update early, always wait until all firmware updates are complete. The application will continuously indicate how many updates are still to be done.
