Product replacement


In case defective product

In the first 2 years after purchase:

After presenting the proof of purchase at the office of Philip Morris Hungary Ltd. (1085 Budapest, Kálvin square 12.) consumer can ask for inspection of the device, and in case of favorable evaluation the product will be replaced at a dedicated IQOS selling point.


Physical damage

In the first two years after purchase:

After presenting the proof of purchase at the office of Philip Morris Hungary Ltd. (1085 Budapest, Kálvin square 12.) consumer can ask for investigation of the device.*

The replacement must be performed from the stock of device colours available at the current time at the national tobacco shop which is performing the replacement.

* In case of the failure generated after the purchase - especially in case improper use by the consumer - there is no possibility for replacement. Unless proven otherwise, within six months of purchase, it must be assumed that the defect did not arise after the purchase, unless this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the thing or the nature of the error.

Mandatory for the registration: proof of purchase document in case of device purchased in Hungary, valid unique identification code in case of device purchased abroad.

Accessories replacement


In case of defective accessory

Accessories replacement is available at dedicated tobacco shops in given times in case the defective accessory was bought within 2 years in Hungary with a receipt verifying this. IQOS Call Center must inform consumers about dedicated tobacco shops and the times available for replacement.

Only exception in case of registered users: USB cable and power adapter can be replaced without receipt.

The replacement must be performed from the stock of accessory colours available at the time at the national tobacco shop which is performing the replacement.

Replacement option is only for accessories which was damaged before the moment of purchase or if failure occured within warranty time.
