The SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ - next level technology 

Each device in the IQOS ILUMA series features the new SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™. Paired with the all-new SMARTCORE STICKS™ (TEREA, DELIA and LEVIA) designed specifically for IQOS ILUMA, these bladeless devices use a stainless-steel covered metal element inside the sealed stick to heat from within. The SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™ gives you stick-by-stick consistency without residue scattered into the holder, therefore no cleaning is necessary. IQOS ILUMA produces less smell during usage compared to previous generations of IQOS.**
And - because there's no blade, unlike in older generations of IQOS heating devices - there are no more blade breakages.

TEREA tobacco sticks 

Designed exclusively for IQOS ILUMA devices, TEREA tobacco stick have been carefully designed with expertise and precision to a more consistent smoking sensation, with a sufficient amount of continuous, intense tobacco vapor. Each TEREA tobacco stick is sealed at both ends for easy insertion and removal. A sealed stick means no tobacco residue produced in the holder and no need to clean. Just remove and dispose the sticks when you're done.
