What are HEETS?

In HEETS the tobacco is not burnt, but heated. HEETS releases a real tobacco taste that is different and less harsh, than what you are used to with a cigarette. HEETS has no smoke, no ash and less smell than cigarettes. Smokers who have switched to IQOS say that there is less unpleasant feeling and aftertaste left in their mouth compared to after finishing smoking a cigarette.

What is HEETS made of?

Precisely designed, tobacco sticks HEETS consistently deliver tobacco taste, when heated with your IQOS device. The tobacco part contains carefully selected, finely ground and specially prepared tobacco. The non-tobacco parts of HEETS: - A cooling plug - made of corn-based material that’s also used in the medical, food and drinks industries. - An air flow chamber - that’s designed to hold the tobacco plug in place and transfer the aerosol to the cooling plug. - A protective wrap - it's a paper wrap. - A cellulouse acetate filter - that’s similar to the mouthpiece filter of a cigarette.

How we make HEETS

Tobacco in HEETS is prepared using a special processing method to optimize the tobacco for heating. The tobacco leaves are ground into powder and reconstituted into tobacco sheets. These sheets are crimped and made into a tobacco plug which, combined with all the other parts, creates a tobacco stick.

How long does a HEETS last?
IQOS monitors the temperature and number of puffs of each HEETS stick to ensure an optimal balance between stick heating temperature and duration.​ As the HEETS taste is different, and less harsh than what you are used to with cigarettes, you may be inclined to puff more frequently.
