What is the FlexPuff Feature?

FlexPuff is a new, advanced feature on the new IQOS ILUMA i PRIME device. 

Every IQOS user uses their IQOS device in a different rhythm. How long a consumable lasts depends on these usage habits.

When the FlexPuff feature is active, the IQOS ILUMA i PRIME adapts to how the adult user puffs their device. As a result, it may provide 4 extra puffs still within the 6-minute duration. This enables a more personalised and flexible usage than before.

FlexPuff activation and the number of puffs depend on individual usage patterns, thus extra puffs might not apply to all adult consumers and/or usages. FlexPuff does not activate when pause is used.

How Does The FlexPuff Feature Work?

The device will analyse whether the stick has been fully consumed or not. If it has not, 4 extra puffs will automatically be added to the usage. This will be indicated on the Touch Screen, another brand new feature on this device.

• When puffs have been added, the light ring will extend in an anti-clockwise direction to the 9 o’clock position (image 3).

• When the additional puffs are nearly complete, the light ring will extend further in an anti-clockwise direction to the 10 o’clock position (image 4).

• When there are no lights displayed on the Touch Screen, the usage is over.

To activate FlexPuff, the adult user does not need to take any action since the system analyses the adult user’s usage automatically. Due to this and the number of puffs being dependent on individual usage patterns, we advise that you do not focus on your puffs and let the system function automatically. 

If you use the Pause Mode, FlexPuff will not work for this experience. You can also activate or deactivate this feature through the IQOS App. Find out more about the IQOS App on our website. 

What Other Features are New on The IQOS ILUMA i PRIME?

Pause Mode enables usages with devices in the IQOS ILUMA i range to be paused for up to 8 minutes and then resumed*. If the usage is not re-activated within 8 minutes, the holder will automatically switch off and the usage will end.

FlexBattery is another advanced feature on the IQOS ILUMA i PRIME. This enables the battery to be in one of two modes, Performance Mode and Eco Mode.

Performance Mode allows 2 consecutive uses of up to 6 minutes each with 1 pause for one of them, or up to 3 consecutive uses but without pause.

Eco Mode increases the lifespan of the holder battery by up to one year device, but only when fully used on Eco Mode throughout the lifespan of the holder and may vary depending on personal consumption.
