When and how did the ban on flavored tobacco products begin? Was it introduced only in Hungary?

As of May 20, 2020, menthol-flavored cigarettes and tobacco products were banned in all European Union markets, including duty-free sales points. The ban follows the European Union’s tobacco product directive and affects all European Union member states.

Then, on November 23, 2022, the ban on the sale of flavored heated tobacco products came into effect in the European Union.
