HEETS tobacco sticks are designed to last for the same amount of time and puffs as cigarettes. You can enjoy up to 14 puffs or about 6 minutes, whichever comes first.

The HEETS tobacco sticks are designed specifically for IQOS devices. We’ve engineered the perfect length, diameter and design to fit into the IQOS Holder.

HEETS tobacco sticks taste different to cigarettes because the tobacco is heated instead of burnt. By heating the tobacco, the true taste is released. HEETS tobacco sticks designed for IQOS are made from blended tobacco, specially chosen to give you the tobacco taste based on adult smokers' needs. You may not find the right flavor for you at first. Yes, HEETS tobacco sticks contain nicotine, which is addictive. Nicotine is naturally present in the tobacco used in the HEETS. It’s released in the tobacco vapour that’s generated when you use an IQOS device.

If you’re finding it hard to insert your HEETS stick, please check to see if:

there’s any tobacco residue left in the Holder

the heating blade is clean, and

the Holder cap is fully closed.

Then try pre-heating the IQOS Holder before you insert the HEETS tobacco stick.

If you have a IQOS 2.4, IQOS 2.4 PLUS, IQOS 3 or IQOS 3 DUO device:

Press the Holder button to start heating

Wait for two to three seconds

Gently insert the tobacco stick

If you have a IQOS 3 MULTI device:

Open the lid

Press the button to start heating

Wait for two to three seconds

Precisely designed, HEETS tobacco sticks consistently deliver tobacco taste, when heated with your IQOS device.
The tobacco part contains carefully selected, finely ground and specially prepared tobacco that delivers the true taste of real tobacco when heated.

The non-tobacco part is made up of:

A cooling plug made of corn-based material that’s also used in the medical, food and beverage industry.

An air flow chamber that’s designed to hold the tobacco stick in place and transfer the aerosol to the cooling plug.

A protective paper wrap which helps to deliver a consistent taste experience.

A cellulouse acetate filter that’s similar to the mouthpiece filter of a cigarette.

If the tobacco plug is stuck in your cap, you can remove it by gently tapping the cap on a hard surface to extract the tobacco plug, or by using a cleaning pin. If you use the cleaning pin, push the rod outward from the bottom part of the cap. To stop tobacco getting stuck in your device, make sure you always lift up the cap before you take out the used HEETS tobacco stick.

Remaining tobacco in the Holder usually comes from not pulling up the Cap before removing the tobacco stick. By entering your profile, you can learn the proper usage from the E-COACH videos, furthermore you can find a quick videos here.

In most cases this problem caused by inadequate cleaning of device or lack of proper cleaning. At least after every 20 tobacco sticks we suggest to clean the device properly. You can learn the proper cleaning from the E-COACH videos after logging in to your personal profile. Different type of HEETS tobacco sticks designed for IQOS provide different taste sensations.

The difference in taste intensity is due to the different tobacco blends and aroma recipes used in each product variant.

Some types have a stronger character, while others have a lighter and more sophisticated taste.
You may not find the right flavor for you at first. You can also ask IQOS Customer Service to help you discover your own taste profile or request information from tobacco shop staff.

The holder is designed to prevent overheating due to too intense puff of the tobacco stick. However, if you still experience overheating, first check your holder including the CAP, has been properly cleaned.
If you still experience the problem after proper cleaning, please contact our Customer Care, where our colleagues will help you investigate the case.

Note that tobacco blend in the IQOS Holder or in the CAP may block the vents of the air-flow, so the air can not flow properly. We suggest you to clean the device and CAP properly at least after every 20 tobacco sticks.

All our IQOS devices work with HeatControl technology, there is no difference in the formation of tobacco aerosol, the devices must form the same amount of tobacco aerosol during use.
The amount of tobacco aerosol also depends largely on the moisture content of the tobacco and how IQOS is used. If you find that your IQOS device emits less tobacco aerosol than usual, first check the following:

You have inserted the tobacco stick into the IQOS holder correctly, the tobacco stick has not broken.

After inserting the tobacco stick into the holder, it is important not to turn or twist the stick as this may damage the IQOS heating blade.

The way you puff impacts how long your tobacco stick will last. Take longer, gentler puffs. Taking longer ca. 10 sec breaks between the puffs allows the blade properly heat the tobacco and generate aerosol.

Clean the IQOS holder regularly according to the instructions. After you entered into your registered profile you can learn the proper way of cleaning from our E-coach videos, or you can gain a quick insight from our quick videos.

Note that tobacco from the previously consumed tobacco stick may block the air-flow of the IQOS Holder, so please make sure that you clean your device properly, especially the CAP. Remove the used tobacco stick from the Holder.

If you can not insert the tobacco stick till the silver line, the device should be cleaned, most likely the CAP.

The heating phase of an IQOS device lasts a maximum of six minutes, after which it switches off automatically. During this time, you can pull on the HEETS tobacco stick. The possible duration of use always depends on the individual consumption behaviour. The more intensive the consumption (frequency and strength of draw), the shorter the duration of use. 
If you do not take a drag on the tobacco stick, the IQOS device also switches off after approx. six minutes. The used HEETS tobacco stick can then no longer be used. 

Low aerosol it might be caused by an accumulation of tobacco residues or dirt. Please follow these to perform cleaning for your device:  

Always use original IQOS cleaning tool and sticks.

Clean your holder, holder CAP, and connectors between your holder and the pocket charger.

Change your holder CAP every 6 months.

If you cannot insert your HEETS tobacco stick in the holder, please follow the below steps checking if: 

There is no tobacco residue left in the Holder.

The Holder CAP is fully closed.    

The tobacco sticks were not exposed to a humidity or high temperature.    

The tobacco sticks were kept in a dry place to prevent the tobacco mix from sticking together.   

If the CAP is not sitting tightly on the Holder, then try a different Holder or CAP.     

 

If you accidentally insert a tobacco stick the wrong way round the holder, turn on the device for a few seconds to let the blade heat up to soften the filter and make it easy to remove without damaging your IQOS. Please remember to always pull up your CAP before removing the stick. If the problem couldn’t be resolved in this manner, then please contact IQOS Costumer Care. 

No. HEETS has been specifically designed for use with IQOS. Tobacco sticks should never be lit with a match or lighter and are designed to only work with the IQOS™ Holder. 
The electronic Holder heats and not burns the tobacco in the tobacco stick, therefore does not produce ash. 

If your HEETS tobacco stick is damaged, do not use or try to insert into the holder as it might damage your device.
